INTERNATIONAL TEAM & PARTNERSHIPS
Biodiversity has made efforts to form partnerships with people around the world to further its cause. So far seven international specialists have teamed with Biodiversity to serve on the Biodiversity Editorial Board as Associate Editors (1) P. Balakrishna, Ph.D., Head of the SE Asia sector of the IUCN. Through this network we have made partnerships and solicited articles from many conservation groups in India, such as the WWF, as well as from Ashish Kothari who with his organization Kapalvriksha is organizing and managing the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP); (2) W.E. Burns, from California, USA, the editor of Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy; (3) John Lambert, Ph.D., Medicinal Plants Specialists with the World Bank; USA; (4) Michael Sharkey, professor of Entomology at the University of Kentucky, USA;  (5) Vo Tong Xuan, Ph.D., Agronomy Professor, University of Long Xuyen, Vietnam, (6)
Setijati D. Sastraprajda, Botanist, NATIRUNDO (Naturae Indonesiana), Jakarta Pusat, Indonesia, (7)  Manuel Zumbado, Museum Curator, with the Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (INBio) in Costa Rica. These experts join three Canadian experts to advise on Biodiversity's future directions as well as to contribute ideas for articles and to bring international authors to the fold.

Tropical Conservancy has established a partnership with Dan Janzen, Professor of Entomology at the University of Pennsylvania and President of the Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund (GDFCF). Tropical Conservancy has received substantial contributions from Canadians to support this joint effort with GDFCF in the conservation of the species-rich
Rincon Rainforest in Costa Rica.
