On the basis of "one picture is worth a thousand words," this photo gallery serves three purposes:
1. To display photographs, paintings and line illustrations showing different aspects of life for education and for raising awareness and appreciation of the earth's biological diversity and resources, the resources on which humanity and other life forms vitally depend for existence;
  2. To advocate conservation, protection and sustainable use of life forms;
3. To provide concise information of selected, known life forms regarding their (i) biological and ecological aspects; (ii) affect to human society in health, economy, culture, religion, aesthetics, and other social aspects; (iii) management, conservation and sustainable development; (iv) functions in an ecosystem; and (v) harmful aspects if accidentally or purposely introduced to a non-native environment.
There are 7 display categories:

If you wish to contribute photographs to help promote appreciation of all life forms leading to their conservation, please write and send pictures to us. Remember to include a title and a brief description for each picture. You will retain the ownership of the pictures you send in, unless you offer them as donations to Tropical Conservancy. In any case, authorship is always acknowledged in the caption of each picture. Tropical Conservancy maintains
an index of photographers, e-mail addresses, and picture titles to help people get in touch with authors. Suggestions to help improve this gallery are welcomed.
