WRITER'S GUIDELINES

GRAPHICS
Line arts (black and white): should be submitted as JPG, TIFF, or original (please see samples at
www.tc-biodiversity.org/biosamples.htm); photos (moderate to high resolution) should be in JPG or TIFF and should be submitted individually; Alternatively, you may submit photographic slides, negatives, or prints; Charts: as line art, or in Excel files.  Online photos: you must submit a written permission.

INNOVATIVE CONSERVATION INITIATIVES
Biodiversity advocates the conservation and preservation of biodiversity. As such, we are pleased to consider articles about conservation initiatives (particularly those that can act as models for others), discussions of shifts in international, national or local policies that benefit biodiversity, descriptions of businesses that use biological resources sustainably—equitably sharing the benefits derived thereof, initiatives in conservation and protection of species and habitats, and so on.
Length: 500 – 3000 words.

FORUM: A PLACE TO AIR YOUR OPINION
The journal acts a forum for people to express their opinions on how best to accomplish the conservation of biodiversity and further the discovery of unknown species around the globe.

Length: 500 – 2000 words.

BOOK REVIEWS
Biodiversity is always on the lookout for people to review the latest books in the biodiversity field. Interested reviewers should send a short note introducing themselves and their areas of expertise, along with a short writing sample.

RIGHTS
After publication, Biodiversity sends 2 contributor copies to its authors and a CD containing a high resolution PDF file of the article for use by the author or authors.  A laser or an inkjet printer can produce high quality reprints from this PDF file. Authors retain the copyright on their articles, but should understand that their articles may also be posted on the journal’s website, and reproduction of the article (or parts thereof) must acknowledge Biodiversity as the source publication. Illustrations provided by Biodiversity are the property of Biodiversity. Any use of these illustrations requires written permission from Biodiversity.
