Tropical Conservancy (TC-Biodiversity), a registered charity, works to conserve and protect species, habitats and the environment worldwide.

TC-Biodiversity advocates and participates in research, education and conservation to:

(1) augment knowledge of life on Earth;
(2) conserve species, habitats and the environment;
(3) augment human capacity in building a society in which man lives in harmony with all other living things to maintain and preserve the ecological equilibrium essential for life on Earth to continue.

Taking Part in Global Efforts
in Sustaining Life on Earth

Living things and their diversity as we see today are the result of billions of years of evolution. They forms the web of life in which all living organisms intricately depend on one another to survive and flourish. The ecological equilibrium created by the harmonious living among Earth's living organisms has perfectly sustained life on this planet for hundred of millions of years. Man, a product of a 3.5 billion-year evolution presently comes into existence as a young, intelligent and dominant species in the web of life. Having acquired an exceptionally high level of intelligence this unique species has out competed all other organisms consequently offsetting this equilibrium.  The looming environmental - climatic crisis: "the Global Warming" that all living things on Earth are facing to day has largely been the result  of cumulative human activities within a period of less than 100 years from the second quarter of the 20th century to the present. Humanity has continued to cause serious degradation of the Earth's biosphere by over-exploiting and depleting its living resources, encroaching upon its natural habitats and severely polluting nearly all of  its strata. Greenhouse gases continue to concentrate in the atmosphere adwindling populations of green plants and related organisms on Earth are no longer sufficient to remove these gases. Consequently, the Earth is getting warmer, more and more species are going extinct, biological resources are getting scarcer and scarcer, and the environment and climate are becoming less and less habitable. Despite all warnings about catastrophic consequences to the Earth, this trend of destruction continues.

Tropical Conservancy is taking part in global efforts in the restoration and preservation of the Ecological Equilibrium  vital for life on this planet to continue. Our contributions include::
(1) Dissemination of biological diversity and environmental information via our international quarterly journal Biodiversity

(2) Participation in conservation programs
(3) Education & Awareness
(4) Research
