| Mangrove forest represents an
important ecosystem along the shoreline where a river estuary
meets the sea. Mangrove has specialized root system
which helps the plant anchor itself on fine mud, facilitates silt
sedimentation, and provides shelters to a great variety of life
forms inhabiting this particular wetland. - Mangrove forest, Costa
