Pseudoryx nghetinhensis Vu et al. (Bovidae), commonly known as Saola, a mammal discovered and described from Vietnam in 1993 has been listed as a critically endangered life form. This juvenile was the first live Saola ever captured and studied by science. It died a few weeks after this picture was taken. Photographed by P.T. Dang'1994.
